SIXTEEN FUNDAMENTAL ARTICLES OF FAITH

 

 

Article 1: Our Belief in God

We believe that God is the ultimate source of all existence and the centre of our inner being. Specifically, we affirm that:

  • God is the foundation of our health, and our well-being reflects His divine wholeness.
  • God is the source of our power; no true power exists independent of Him.
  • God is our ultimate support, and all genuine assistance originates from Him.
  • God is Spirit, and our human spirit is eternally united with the Spirit of God.
  • God embodies perfect faith, and our faith is derived directly from Him.
  • God is the source of all intelligence, and our understanding reflects His divine wisdom.
  • God is love, and our capacity to love flows entirely from Him.

Article 2: Our Belief in Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is both the Son of God and the Son of Man. He represents the ideal humanity, having attained complete perfection, and serves as our Lord and Saviour.

Article 3: Our Belief in the Holy Bible

We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God, given to humanity as the definitive guide for instruction, moral conduct, and spiritual education.

Article 4: Our Belief in the Holy Spirit

We believe in the power, presence, and indwelling of the Holy Spirit to guide, comfort, and convict believers.

Article 5: Our Belief in Divine Healing

We believe in holistic healing across all dimensions of human life—spiritual, mental, emotional, physical, and financial—wrought through prayer, faith, and spiritual practices.

Article 6: Our Belief in Education as Emancipation

We believe that quality education is a powerful instrument for social liberation, serving as a vital means to break the cycles of poverty and social constraints.

Article 7: Our Belief in Diligent Work

We believe that humanity is called to strive through purposeful, diligent work to develop our God-given potential and reflect divine perfection.

Article 8: Our Belief in Salvation through Faith and Works

We believe that true salvation is an active reality in a believer’s life, demonstrated and fulfilled through both heartfelt faith and righteous works.

Article 9: Our Belief in Holiness

We believe in the pursuit of holiness, affirming that every believer should continually strive to live a life set apart, clean, and dedicated to God.

Article 10: Our Belief in Equal Opportunity

We believe in the inherent dignity of every human being, affirming that all individuals must be treated with absolute equality, fairness, and justice.

Article 11: Our Commitment to the Vulnerable

We actively support vulnerable, marginalized, and disadvantaged individuals by recognizing their unique needs and providing dedicated advice, care, and advocacy.

Article 12: Our Practice of Religious Tolerance

We believe in practicing love, tolerance, and mutual respect toward individuals of other faiths, beliefs, and backgrounds, walking in peace with all people.

Article 13: Our Civic Duty and Respect for the Law

We believe in supporting constitutional government, respecting civil authorities, and strictly obeying the laws of the countries in which we operate.

Article 14: Our Observance of the Ten Commandments

We believe in the enduring moral authority of the Ten Commandments as set out in the Holy Scriptures, using them as a foundation for ethical living.

Article 15: Our Commitment to the Great Commission

We believe in fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus Christ: to preach the Gospel, heal the sick, cleanse the broken, raise the dead, and cast out darkness. Freely we have received; freely we give (Matthew 10:7-8)

Article 16: Our Hope in Eternal Life

We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the final divine judgment, and the glorious promise of eternal life for all who remain faithful to God.
